Natural solutions to skin care
Crepe Skin is a tough one, I don't really have anything that will treat it specifically, Crepey skin is a direct result from aging, a lack of moisture, excessive weight loss, or any combination of these. The ultraviolet light in the sun's rays break down collagen and elastin in skin that help it stay tight and wrinkle-free. Keeping your skin hydrated with a good body lotion is your best defense. I do have body lotions and whipped body butter, and applying it several times a day to your area of concern is best. If it is on your face, I suggest a facial oil! It is the BEST hydration your face can get!
So, the answer was no, but the solutions to help the Crepe Skin is to me, simple. Hydration. Hydrating your body, or area of concern is the best defense you have to help fight crepe skin. Heck, I don't even think Crepe Skin was a "thing" until some marketing company made it up! ( I honestly don't know, just being funny here)
So the low down on that saggy, yucky, gross skin, (part of the terminology I have heard when dealing with this specific situation) is as stated above. Unfortunately, it is part of the aging process, weight loss process and sun exposure. Of course there are things you can do to mask the problem, if you want to call it a problem, but the bottom line is, it just happens. Choosing a well made lotion or body butter, that is loaded with hydrating ingredients is a great place to start. Or a really great Body Oil, and apply it several times a day, WILL HELP as well as using a good sunscreen.
I hate to always be the bearer of "bad news" but one of these days, women all over the world will wake up and realize that aging isn't so darn bad! Wrinkles, can't be fixed (short of surgery and Botox_ which are ok, if you want) but having a great skin care regimen is absolutely key. Using natural and organic ingredients garner results, but take a little longer than conventional synthetic laden skin care products. The choice is yours, but let me say, it ISN"T the skin care product that isn't making you look 10 years younger, it is the previous 10 years you spent NOT taking care of your skin. As we age, we grasp at straws, trying to hold on to our youth, heck yes we do! Who would not! But the cold hard truth is, it's gonna happen. The key is, in my opinion, how you embrace your skin, body and the ever pending gravity pull! LOL :)
Love the skin you are in, Love the body you are in, and EMBRACE each and every curve, wrinkle and Crepey area you have.... you deserve it! You are beautiful, smart, kind, and well.... amazing!
The skin care industry is such a diverse business, and with such diversity comes many many myths. It is difficult to decipher what you are suppose to do to have healthy, beautiful skin. Which lotion does what and what a serum does, or even if the beauty products you are using are legit.
I am an avid Dr. Pimple Popper watcher, and love Dr. Lee's down to earth approach to everything she does. The best information she has given is this:
I launched my own skin care business officially in 2013, at the age of 47 yrs young. Received my Certification in Aromatherapy shortly there after and have continued my Clinical Aromatherapy education in the Integrative Healing Practices field and Organic Cosmetic Science. I am married, have one son and two stepchildren and live in a small town in the Texas Panhandle.
